Getting your thoughts and answering your questions are top priorities for the Town of Castle Rock. That’s why it’s important to provide opportunities where residents can meet with their Town Council representative.District 4 Councilmember Jason Bower will be hosting an open house from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19 in the reimagined Festival Park in Downtown Castle Rock.District 4 includes the Downtown core area, Craig and Gould, Castle North and Red Hawk.During the open house, residents can ask questions and learn about various Town services and projects from Town staff. Many departments will be represented including Police, Fire, Roads, Water and Building. Additionally, staff will be prepared to answer questions about the 2018 Special Election, Downtown parking, final work at Festival Park and Downtown redevelopment projects.In case of inclement weather, the open house will be held across the street in the Courtroom at Castle Rock Police, 100 Perry St.About Councilman BowerOriginally from Newport News, Virginia, Councilman Bower moved to Colorado with his wife, Katie, in 2005. He owns and operates Castle Rock Music and performs with various groups throughout the United States as a jazz trumpeter. He has a degree in music and jazz studies with a concentration in education from Christopher Newport University. Before being elected to Council, he served on the Downtown Development Authority and the Downtown Design Review Board.Bower and his wife, a teacher at Douglas County High School, have two young sons who attend Castle Rock schools.
