Plum Creek Water Purification Facility tour
Watch as your water gets purified by touring the Town’s state-of-the-art Plum Creek Water Purification Facility. Tours are held at 10 a.m. the fourth Wednesday of each month, and last for about one hour.
Reservations and appointments are required. Complete the reservation form, or call 720-733-6000. Special tours can be scheduled for groups larger than 10 people. For safety reasons, only children ages 8 and older are welcome on the tour.

The facility’s unique design uses a five-step treatment process to purify both groundwater and surface water:
- Chemical pretreatment
- Flocculation / sedimentation
- Greensand filtration
- Membrane filtration
- Post-filter chemical treatment
