Recreation Center

Opening under COVID-19 Guidelines

We are excited to open our doors again to the community on June 1. However, like many other things today, the way we operate under COVID-19 guidelines will be a little different. In order to comply with State and health department requirements, and to provide all of our guests with a safer recreation experience, we have modified our daily operations.

Recreation by appointment only

The facility layout has been modified to adhere to social distancing and lower-capacity requirements. Six zones have been created throughout the facility, with a maximum capacity of 10 people per zone. You must make an appointment to workout in one of the six zones. Appointment times can be reserved 48 hours in advance at CRgov.com/Registration.

Sign-ups will be for one-hour increments and guests will only be permitted to utilize the workout zone for which they have registered. Traveling between zones and utilizing equipment from other zones will not not permitted. With that in mind, the facility will be open for one hour of operation, followed by one hour of cleaning.

Check-in

All guests will be required to pre-register for a specific time slot and work out zone prior to their entry into the Recreation Center. Walk-in and drop-in participation will not be permitted. Guests are asked to wait outside of the facility in a line remaining six feet away from individuals who do not reside in their household. A staff member will greet the guests at the door and permit entry to those who have preregistered for their time slot.

Guests will be required to leave the facility at the end of their designated reservation time, regardless of where they are in their current workout. Staff will then deep clean the facility before the next group is permitted into the facility.

Touch-less check-in

We will be temporarily going cashless. In addition to reserving a workout time slot and zone, you will need to purchase a guest pass to enter the facility online. We will also honor multi-visit passes.

Memberships

All memberships have been placed on hold and will not be active or billed for the month of June. If you wish to reactivate your membership before July, please let the Front Desk know during check in. You will be charged a pro-rated rate for the remainder of June.

SilverSneakers, Silver&Fit, and RenewActive Memberships will remain available for use.

High-risk individuals

The CDC has recognized those with serious underlying medical conditions, and those over the age of 65, as being higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. These individuals are encouraged to avoid participating in n-person programs and activities held at recreation facilities.

Closed amenities

Lobby areas are currently unavailable. Locker rooms are available for restroom use only - showers and lockers are currently unavailable. Bottle filling stations are available for use, however, drinking fountains are currently unavailable. Additionally, drop-in childcare is currently unavailable. Equipment may be limited due to distancing requirements. The indoor track and indoor racquetball, pickleball, and basketball courts will be closed, along with indoor pools.

Minimum age

Patrons using the facility without adult supervision must be at least 14 years of age. Patrons under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Guardians must also have a timeslot reserved for the same zone.

Social distancing

Remain 6 feet away from people residing in a separate household.
